What I’m Doing to Improve My Digestive Health

This is a sponsored post. All opinions expressed below are my own.
While your digestive health is probably not the first topic of conversation that comes up with people, when you have a digestive illness, like Celiac disease, it does seem to come up very quickly, especially if you are doing anything revolving around food. I’ve been lucky enough to get my Celiac diagnosis about 7 years ago, and it has made a major difference in my life to cut out gluten. Still, I’m always looking for new ways to improve my digestive health, which is why I’m taking the Renew Life 30-Day Challenge.

The Renew Life Ultimate Flora Critical Care is a 50 billion probiotic meant for daily consumption. These are beneficial bacteria that help contribute to a healthy digestive system. As a part of the Renew Life 30-Day Challenge, I’ve started taking one of these each day and I am excited to see an improvement in my digestive health!

The Renew Life Ultimate Flora Critical Care contains 10 strains of powdered probiotics inside vegetable capsules, and don’t worry, of course they are also gluten-free as well. In addition to taking a probiotic, there are several other steps you can take to improve your digestive health. One of the most important things to do is to make sure you’re drinking plenty of water. I personally picked up a beautiful S’well water bottle recently, and I’ve been using that to make sure I get my water throughout the day. I can also track my consumption using the Bellabeat app on my fitness tracker–that beautiful necklace in these photos is actually for counting steps!

While probiotics are only one part of a healthy digestive system and healthy life, it can be hard to get enough of them from just the food you eat, so I am excited to see an improvement over the next 30 days. In addition to the Renew Life Ultimate Flora Critical Care, Renew Life has several other great options for probiotics depending on your needs, ranging from 2 to 100 billion cultures.

Have you ever taken a probiotic before?

  • I have a friend who is allergic to gluten, and she told me that there’s a new pill so people with Celiac can have gluten. Hoo-ha or gamechanger, Zoe?

    • Oh no! Sadly I have not tried this or heard of it, but my preliminary research just now indicates there’s some research and maybe trials going on for a pill using egg yolk, but nothing final yet. That would be great though, even if it’s just something temporary. At home, I have plenty of options, but travel can be hard!
