I find it hard to test a lot of skincare, so I’m fairly selective about what shows up on Writing Whimsy, and one brand I haven’t reviewed yet is Vichy. I think the only product I’ve used by them before is the micellar water, but I’ve heard great things so I was definitely interested when I had the opportunity to try out the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Extra Sensitive*.
The Vichy Aqualia Thermal Extra Sensitive is a soothing moisturizer for sensitive, allergy-prone skin. I wouldn’t say my skin is exceptionally sensitive, but I am prone to redness and I find it can get dry in places and a little aggravated during the winter weather in particular.
Vichy Aqualia Thermal Extra Sensitive comes in a pump packaging which keeps it hygienic, and the product itself is a lightweight lotion that absorbs quite well into the skin although I still wait at least a few minutes before applying makeup. I have been using this product for the last month, and I definitely find that it soothes my skin when I apply it. It also obviously moisturizes quite well, but at night I generally pair it with a serum and eye cream.
I think that the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Extra Sensitive is a great product for anyone suffering from irritated, dry, sensitive skin. I’m actually going to pass this onto my brother, who I think could really benefit from it, and I’m definitely curious about more Vichy products now.
