Here’s a secret: I don’t actually celebrate Valentine’s Day. I know, it’s kinda ridiculous given that I’m featuring a bunch of Valentine’s Day products– and even here, right now, making up a Valentine’s Day Gift Guide– but I don’t. I have a few reasons for that, but it doesn’t prevent me from enjoying seasonal treats. Lots of companies come up with great products for Valentine’s Day, and I don’t feel restricted from buying and using them, my boyfriend and I just won’t be swapping gifts with each other. So with that caveat out of the way, here are some things I’ve had my eye on (or already have my hands on…) that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day… or any day.
Tea! I love my tea, and this new fan-named DAVIDsTEA Mint To Be is just too cute and a perfect gift for the tea-loving person in your life. It also doesn’t contain artificial flavours (only natural) which is really nice. It contains black tea, peppermint and coconut and although I actually don’t like peppermint or coconut, I know I’m the exception and besides… how cute is that name?
Lush has an amazing collection of Valentine’s products, but I suggest the Lush Love Locket Bath Bomb because it fills the water with hearts, and as Chantal commented on my review, how perfect for two people. The Lush Tender Is The Night Massage Bar smells like jasmine and vanilla and melts as you rub it in your hands, coating them with oil for the perfect massage.
This new scent from Philosophy smells like sweet citrus vanilla and the gift set includes three different products to try. If you can’t wait till Valentine’s Day though you should check out my giveaway for a chance to win one (here).
I’ll be honest, I don’t watch a lot of romantic movies and this came on an Amazon recommended list and although it’s been awhile, I really loved it when I watched it so I was inspired to add it to this list. I actually went out and bought it on blu-ray right afterwards (and promptly misplaced it at one of three houses) so that shows how much I loved it.
5. Jamberry Nail Wraps in Twitterpated (review coming)
Jamberry does a ton of different nail wraps, including a bunch of cute Valentine’s Day ones, and I think these ones are especially adorable and make nail art so easy. Also recommended: heart rhinestone accent nails.
This YA novel was one of my favourite reads of 2013, and it is full of charm and unexpected romance about two teenagers in the 80s who don’t belong together, until they do.
Because if I celebrated Valentine’s Day, I’d probably be asking for these. If anyone got me them, I would love them forever.
Do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? If you don’t, do you let that stop you from eating way too many cinnamon hearts? Because single or not, I definitely don’t! Let me know if you decide to grab anything off my Valentine’s Day Gift Guide and what you think of this kind of post.
