Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

Valentine’s Day is SOON. I don’t actually celebrate, but I am not opposed to some discounted chocolate and cinnamon hearts along with some pink and love-themed beauty products. Sadly, I can’t share the chocolate on my blog–let’s be honest, I wouldn’t even if I could–but I do have a last minute Valentine’s Day Gift Guide filled with lovely things I’d be happy to receive. Or just, you know, buy for myself. True Fact: I really suck at getting gifts because I am too impatient.
Valentine's Day Gift Guide 4To start my Valentine’s Day Gift Guide, if you are looking for an easy Valentine’s Day manicure that makes a statement, the Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Giving Lip* are real nail polish strips with an adorable and festive lip print design. For a fresh fruity scent and a brand name that is made for Valentine’s Day, there’s the I love…Raspberry & Blackberry Refreshing Body Spritzer*, as well as plenty of other great products from the brand (I love…their body butters).

Valentine's Day Gift GuideEspecially in the winter time, I love a good lotion, and two of my recent favourites are the Mary Kay Thinking of Love Body Lotion* (there’s also a great matching fragrance with detachable heart charm, how adorable) as well as the Mark Naked Love Hand Cream* (also other yummy products available in the scent). While the Mary Kay option is more floral with a hint of citrus with the Mark lotion has peachy scent I am pretty obsessed with (January favourites spoiler alert). I also only just received the Clinique Wear Everywhere Pinks Palette*, but the wearable combination of shades includes a few that fit the marsala trend as well as compliment it, and seems perfect for year-round use in a sleek, thin compact.

Valentine's Day Gift Guide 3 When putting together my Valentine’s Day Gift Guide, there’s one product I instantly knew I had to include, and that’s the Essence Like an Unforgettable Kiss Duo Blush in Nothing but Lovestoned*. In terms of pigment, this is subtle, but in terms of cuteness, this is a win at drugstore prices. I’ve also confessed my love for the Fresh Sugar Lip Balm Treatments* many times, so is it any surprise to see the shade Rosé included? Incredibly comfortable on the lips with a selection of pretty tinted shades, they are all named after flowers, so they would make a perfect Valentine’s Day bouquet I think…

writiwrIn case you’re interested in flowers, another great way to receive them that lasts a lot longer than the biological kind is the new, limited edition Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet*. As always with Marc Jacobs fragrance, the packaging is gorgeous, and I admit I am kinda hooked on these Daisy scent varieties–I just want to catch them all. A final floral suggestion for my Valentine’s Day Gift Guide? There’s the new Maybelline Rebel Bloom collection, which includes vibrant shades like the Maybelline Color Sensational in Hibiscus Pop*, a bright but semi-sheer pink with a comfortable slip to it.

That’s it for this year’s Valentine’s Day Gift Guide. Nine great products I would both love to receive and give…myself. If your significant other is still panicking about gifts, you can also always share this post with them! But first, make sure to also check out my Valentine’s Day Pampering Giveaway.
