I have been lusting after Thierry Mugler Alien Eau de Parfum* since the moment I saw the bottle, I mean, look at that purple gorgeousness like a hunk of amethyst cut out of rock. But reading the scent notes, and finally, smelling it in person and testing it out was what finally cemented its place as what is certain to be one of my favourite scents for winter. Yes, I realize it’s only August, but sometimes love comes at unexpected times.
The scent of Thierry Mugler Alien Eau de Parfum is warm with a hint of freshness, the combination of jasmine and amber, with woody undertones to it which is what sold me on it as a winter fragrance. Sometimes I review fragrances that I love but that you could probably find elsewhere, but this is definitely an original one in my collection. I really love the combination of jasmine and something a bit darker, and it is a pretty strong scent so only a dash is needed. In fact, the lasting power is insane. Thierry Mugler Alien Eau de Parfum lasted ALL DAY on me. Like, I sprayed it when I woke up in the morning and can still faintly smell it when I go to sleep. I can definitely understand why this is an EdP, and even a 30 mL bottle like I have would last a very long time!
In addition to being really pretty, there’s a useful and environmentally friendly component to the Thierry Mugler Alien Eau de Parfum packaging. Once it’s done, you can actually remove the top and take it to be re-filled at participating stores. I think that’s awesome and I love that so many Thierry Mugler scents offer it!
Overall, even though it’s the wrong season at the moment my love for Alien has definitely begun and I am very interested in trying more scents from the line. I will definitely be wearing Thierry Mugler Alien Eau de Parfum as the weather gets colder, and you can expect to see it back on the blog as a part of a Winter Fragrance Guide in a couple months!
Have you ever tried a Thierry Mugler fragrance? I am definitely wanting to try Thierry Mugler’s Alien Eau Extraordinaire for the summer season.
