I love the Body Shop products and I’m always excited when they come out with a new scent release, even if it’s sadly limited edition. Luckily, the most recent fragrance from the brand is here to stay and that’s The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil line. This oil is meant to nourish and protect your skin and hair, and it smells amazing.
There are NINE new products in The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil scent, and today I have four of them to share with you. The products I have are the The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Massage Soap*, Body Butter*, Miracle Solid Oil* and Solid Oil Lips*.
Although The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Massage Soap is a nice-sized bar of soap with a great scent, I was a little skeptical of how useful the shape would actually be. Turns out not only do the massage “nubs” feel nice when washing with the soap, but the bar itself has an ergonomic shape that fits comfortably in my hand as well. As somebody who rarely uses bar soap, I can honestly say this one is a hit and it may not get passed onto my mom as originally planned! It also lathers well, doesn’t dry out the skin, and leaves behind a faint scent.
Easily a favourite product from TBS are their body butters, but an interesting thing about them is that they can vary in consistency based on what scent they are and what the main ingredient is. For example, satsuma is much “wetter” than brazil nut (which I reviewed here). Because of the word “oil” I expected the The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Body Butter to actually be quite oily, but it’s not at all. In fact it is probably the richest, thickest body butter I have tried from the brand, but it still absorbs well into the skin. It’s actually very luxurious and I love the scent and feeling and may have to grab a full-sized tub (I have the travel size, which is pictured above) this winter when my skin most needs it. This definitely leaves behind a scent as well.
The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Miracle Solid Oil is a unique product for the new line as it’s exactly what it says, an oil in a solid format that you can apply to your extra-dry skin or hair. I don’t know about using it in my hair, but this works extremely well on dry skin such as cuticles and elbows to help give an extra boost of instant moisture. Even though it’s solid in the tub, it melts into an oil with the contact of your fingers (so I wouldn’t store this product anywhere too warm!)
The final product I tried out from the collection is The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Solid Oil Lips, and since I have so many lip balms already I wasn’t really sure if I needed this one. Turns out I did. It actually has a similar consistency to the miracle solid oil although creamier, and leaves a protective glossy layer on your lips. There’s the same great scent, and this is another product I think would work especially well in the winter months when your lips need an extra boost of moisture. It really helps leave my lips smooth and soft and I love applying it when I’m at home (because of the pot format) usually before bed.
In addition to the products I just shared the line includes an oil (of course), a scrub, shower gel, bubble bath and body lotion all in the The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil scent. Have you tried out this new offering from The Body Shop? Let me know if you have, and if not, make sure to stop by a store and try it out! With the colder weather coming, I am sure these moisturizing products will be in high demand.
