The Body Shop Summer Favourites

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Sorbet 3I feel like I can almost tell the seasons by which The Body Shop products I am using. They have the best warming scents like Brazil Nut and Glazed Apple for the winter months, while summer brought the limited edition release of one of my favourite scents ever, Virgin Mojito. This is definitely a scent I recommend stocking up on, because it is perfect! Today’s post is just me sharing a few The Body Shop Summer Favourites including Virgin Mojito and the launch of jumbo-sized Tea Tree products.

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Shower GelI have a separate post where I first talked about The Body Shop Virgin Mojito scent, and I adored it, but one of the products I was missing and really wanted to try was the The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Shower Gel*. I was a huge fan of the Philosophy Senorita Margarita scent, because I find these fresh, zesty lime scents are great at perking me up and I especially love them during the hot weather. I love the classic The Body Shop shower gel formula, which lathers nicely and leaves behind a light scent, so this was obviously a hit.

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body SorbetThe Body Sorbet formula launched last summer I think, but my first time trying it was The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Sorbet*, and I’m in love. This is basically a gel moisturizer for your body, so it’s super lightweight and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on the skin. You can even store it in the fridge to make it extra refreshing–just don’t get tempted into eating it, because it smells so good too. I do prefer something heavier once my skin gets dry, but while it’s still hot the light texture of this is great and I don’t find I need to apply more lotion later in the day.

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body ButterI’ve actually talked about The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Butter* before, but I got a second surprise one and I love it so much, I figured I’d mention it again. This is definitely a favourite from The Body Shop year-round, but in an amazing limited edition summer scent with a lighter formula. I actually wrote in my last post I wasn’t sure how many backups I could justify so now I have at least one, and I’m not sharing.

The Body Shop Tea Tree OilAlso new (but sticking around) from The Body Shop are jumbo-sized packaging for their incredibly popular tea tree oil line, perfect for acne-prone skin. Honestly, I have finished at least two regular sized bottles of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil*, and I really missed having it in my life lately. It’s a spot treatment that really just zaps blemishes, and I find it super effective to use. The new 20 mL size will last me even longer, so no complaints there. Using this, in combination with the Facial Wash, has really cleared up my skin and it only took a couple days.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial WashThe second giant product I’ve been using is The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash*. I actually reviewed The Body Shop Tea Tree Toner–which is the third jumbo product now available–over two years ago on Writing Whimsy, and I found it too harsh so I never repurchased it. However, I’ve actually been loving the Facial Wash. It’s obviously meant for oily skin so it’s slightly drying, but I follow up with toner and moisturizer so it works great. It does have a distinct tea tree scent, which I actually like, and my skin has been in such good shape since I started using it. I’m definitely happy I have such a large bottle!

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash 2Well those are five The Body Shop Summer Favourites I’ve been loving lately, and I highly recommend any of these products. However, if you’re interested in Virgin Mojito, act quickly because it might be gone forever (I’m still waiting for them to bring the lychee scent back!) With the launch of amazing The Body Shop fall products just around the corner, hopefully I’ll be back in the near future sharing more new favourites–they have an upcoming spa collection that looks amazing!

What are your favourite products from The Body Shop? I swear the Tea Tree Oil saved my skin during my undergrad years, especially since it was probably the only step in my ‘skincare routine’.
