The Body Shop Ginger Sparkle Hand Cream* is travel size, festively scented lotion, and although I can’t find it online, the hand cream I received came in an adorable gift set that would make the perfect stocking stuffer.
In addition to The Body Shop Ginger Sparkle Hand Cream, the gift set comes with a gingerbread printed nail file, so that this set is perfect for keeping your hands and nails looking good. I tucked my bottle of lotion into my jacket pocket, and reapply whenever my hands are feeling dry. It’s perfect for the winter months in particular.
Although I like The Body Shop Ginger Sparkle Hand Cream scent, my favourite holiday offering from The Body Shop is definitely their Vanilla Bliss line, which also has a hand cream in it. The Ginger Sparkle scent is not your typical, super sweet, gingerbread. It actually smells more like real ginger, which is a bit spicy but really nice and unexpected.
The scent of The Body Shop Ginger Sparkle Hand Cream is quite strong, and lasts for about half an hour on my hands. The container is 30 mL, which is smaller than my other hand creams, and I imagine if you apply regularly you could go through a tube pretty quickly. That said, I like the small size because it fits so easily in my pocket, and although the full price is $6, The Body Shop is always running promos and you can easily find it 50% off (more if you have a Love Your Body Membership). Personally, it’s nice to get something that’s a bit of a smaller size if only because I love the feeling of finishing a product!
I love the consistency of The Body Shop Ginger Sparkle Hand Cream because it’s super thick but it adsorbs easily an doesn’t leave my hands greasy at all. It’s is a very creamy and moisturizing formula, so you definitely don’t need to apply a ton.
Overall, although I would have picked out the vanilla scent for myself, Ginger Sparkle is a spicy, wintery scent and it’s a bit more unique than vanilla. However, what I am enjoying most of all about The Body Shop Ginger Sparkle Hand is how great it is at moisturizing and I will definitely be picking up more The Body Shop hand creams in the future.
