New from stila are four eye and cheek palettes designed to compliment your skintone. I have the stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palette in Medium/Tan and while my skintone isn’t medium/tan you’ll soon see why I fell in love with this palette anyway!
In terms of packaging, the stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palette in Medium/Tan comes in a slender gold compact with subtle leopard print design and the brand logo on the outside. This palette is perfect for travel because of small it is. Also, when you end up with as much makeup as I have, you appreciate packaging that doesn’t take up a whole drawer in your IKEA Alex.
Inside, each of the stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palettes contains 5 eyeshadows, 2 blushes, and a large mirror. There’s a total of 14 grams of products, but the shadows and blushes are proportional to how much use you’ll get out of them. Again, nice and compact without any space for applicators or brushes you won’t use.
The stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palette in Medium/Tan includes the eye shadows Curious, a soft nude matte base which is super creamy and one of the nicest mattes I’ve ever tried, Captivating, a champagne highlight shimmer which is also very creamy, Daring, a copper with a golden shimmer meant as a lid shade that is buttery and pigmented, Feisty, a reddish brown matte crease shade, and Magnetic, a dark matte plum matte plum.
For the cheeks, there’s Inspiring, a brownish orange coral shimmer with a very creamy texture and Mysterious, a dark dusty rose matte with a pigmented and smooth consistency.
Overall, the texture and pigmentation of the shadows and blushes in this palette are absolutely gorgeous. Just look at those swatches!
In the above look I’m wearing Captivating from the stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palette in Medium/Tan on the inner corner, Daring all over the lid, Feisty in the crease and Curious to blend out the shades. The shadows are all super blendable and gorgeous. On me, I wish that Curious was a tiny bit lighter, but it’s a great nude shade for Medium/Tan skintones which is what it’s intended for.
And there’s my full face looking featuring the stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palette in Medium/Tan. I’m wearing primarily the blush in Mysterious which I applied with a duofibre brush and then a dab of Inspiring for a bit of bronze summer glow. The eyeshadow was very long lasting in 30 degree heat while the cheek products managed but would have benefited from a setting spray–I am sure they would all wear well in less melty weather.
I’m completely smitten with the stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palette in Medium/Tan and it’s not even the one intended for my skintone. While it does require a more gentle hand with the blushes, I think anyone could pick up and enjoy this palette. However, there are also Fair/Light, Light/Medium (I really want this one) and Tan/Dark options available, which I think is a great shade range for shadows and blushes from stila. Even better, there are no overlapping shades between them so you can pick up all 4 if you want!
