Stila Convertible Colors are compact cream products that can works both a blush and a cheek colour. This is a claim quite a few brands make, but I actually find that Stila does a better job living up to than most. That’s because unlike a lot of other cream blushes, Stila Peony doesn’t really go “powdery” when applied and so it doesn’t end up looking cracked and gross on the lips. That said, I still prefer to apply my lip product from a tube and my cheek product from a compact, which is where these really shine.
Like the other shades in the line, Stila Peony comes in a compact that is a similar shade on the outside as the product is inside. I absolutely love how easy this makes it to tell products apart, especially when you own a few from the same line. There’s also something really fun about it that makes me want all the different shades. Okay, it’s the product inside that does that.
Stila Peony can be applied quite sheer or built up a bit, but either way you get a very natural, pretty look from it. It isn’t greasy but it is creamy, so the end result gives a bit of a sheen to the product which means it’s not ideal for super hot weather, but with my indoor office it does last most of the day. Does this photo look familiar? That’s because it’s the same one I used in my MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Matic Eyeshadow Pencil in I-20 and S-60* reviews, which I am wearing on my eyes. I’m also wearing Stila Peony as both a lip and cheek colour in the photo.
Stila Peony is one of my very favourite “grab and go” products. It takes me thirty seconds to apply using my finger tips, I don’t have to worry about overdoing it, and it looks really pretty on. The only problem? There are seven other shades I don’t have!
Have you tried a Stila Convertible Color before/
