I first tried a Stila Lip Glaze when my twin sister gave me a mini in a gorgeous cranberry shade (these are probably her favourite lip products!), so I was definitely interested in trying out some other shades. The two shades I tested recently are the Stila Lip Glaze in Kaleidoscope* and Berry*.
I find the Stila Lip Glazes can really vary in how pigmented they are, and these two shades are perfect examples. While Kaleidoscope is pretty much just shimmer, Berry definitely has a tint to it. All shades come in the same clickable pen format where you turn the bottom to get product to come out through the brush tip. It helps give a precision application, but I know not everyone loves it. I do like this format though!
Stila Lip Glaze in Kaleidoscope is described as glimmering pale pink, which is pretty accurate although it mainly just shows up as a shimmery shade on the lips with very little colour. It’s an easy to wear and easy to apply shade that gives your lips something extra special without being too obvious. It also doesn’t feel gritty or anything like some shimmery shades can. However, these lip products are sticky, but that does mean the lasting power is better than the average gloss. I also find them pretty moisturizing and comfortable to wear, although it’s not a product I’d go for on a windy day with my hair down.
Although Kaleidoscope is pretty, my personal favourite is Stila Lip Glaze in Berry, described as a pearly mauve gloss, it has a subtle shimmer to it along with some light pigmentation. It definitely isn’t as dark applied as it appears in the tube, but I think it is a really pretty shade for fall, and again, something you can apply without a mirror.
The Stila Lip Glaze in Kaleidoscope and Berry also have a nice fruity scent to them that I enjoy and I think both shades would look great applied on top of a more pigmented lipstick as well as on their own. In addition to being sold individually, Stila often does holiday packs with a mini format with great pricing, so they are worth keeping an eye out for if these glosses interest you!
