The holiday season is probably the most exciting time of the year in the beauty blogging community, because there are so many amazing sales and products available. If you read any blog besides mine, you probably already know about the Sephora VIB Sale, which starts today with VIB Rouge and gives the opportunity to shop with 20% off using the code ROUGE20, while for the regular VIBs the sale begins November 13th. No matter when you’re shopping, I have a few recommendations of what I think is worth picking up!
Sephora Favorites Superstars (C$90 -20% = $72): This set I absolutely love these value sets, and I’ve actually picked up the Superstars set two years ago (here) but I was just as tempted this time. The main issue? I already own too many of these amazing products! I love how convenient the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water (review) is and the Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Lounge (review) is a gorgeous shade. With a value of about $248 and plenty of full-sized products, this is a great set to split up among friends, or keep it all for yourself!
Origins Bestsellers Set (C$50 – 20% = $40): Origins is a fantastic skincare brand and they always have great value sets around the holidays–notice a bit of a theme here, I am honestly all about the value sets! This set has a $119 value. I picked up their mini mask trio during their VIB sale last year (check out the rest of my haul here) and I’ve really enjoyed it. I’m also halfway through a GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream that I love. Skincare is a big commitment and I think the smaller sizes are a great way to try something out, and given the savings, it’s probably also worth grabbing this set if you already know you love these products.
Kat Von D Monarch Eye & Lip Set (C$90 – 20% = $72): If you’re nervous about the bright shades of this year’s holiday palette from Kat Von D, then you need to pick up this set instead. The Kat Von D Monarch Eyeshadow Palette is still one of my very favourite palettes (check out my review here) and this set also includes a mascara, lipsticks, liner, and liquid lipstick. If the extras don’t appear to you, grab the palette solo, because those eyeshadows are absolutely stunning.
Ole Henriksen The Fab 5 (C$66 – 20% = $52.80): Last year I tried the Ole Henriksen Unwrap Your Radiance Collection and fell in love with the brand, so of course I’m tempted by the amazing sets this year. The Fab 5 caught my attention in particular because it comes with some of the great The Clean Truth Cleansing Cloths (I only buy them in a value set–like I did here–because they are pricey, but such a treat) as well as the African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser I love. Plus you get three different skincare treatments including a peel, serum, and oil, with a $98 value.
Fresh Sugar Lip Delight (C$65 – 20% = $52): It’s no surprise to anyone reading this blog for more than 5 minutes how much I love the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments. These tinted balms have a great lemon scent and an even better feeling on the lips–it really does treat them. The mini same the same great as the full-sized products, and the many value sets Fresh has gives you a chance to save while trying out even more shades. This set includes a range of shades including the brand new Fig shade (reviewed here) and has a $95 value. For a smaller set, try out the Fresh Nude Lip Lovers Mini Kissing Trio (C$33) which comes in an adorable tin.
Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black Gift Set (C$90 – 20% = $72 ): If you’re looking to restock a fragrance or try out a new one, this is also a great time to do that. I know I’m lusting after this Nirvana Black Set, because the violet-heavy fragrance is perfect for the cooler weather. Not only do you get a stunning full size bottle to keep at home, but you also get a rollerball (which I reviewed here) as well as the perfume oil (which I reviewed here).
I’ve kept my list to holiday sets, because otherwise it would be unmanageable but don’t forget to pick up any staples in your beauty routine, because this sale won’t be back again until April! Is there anything on my list of Sephora VIB Sale Recommendations you’ll be picking up? Or anything I should add? Let me know!
