Well, before I went off to IMATS and bought all the makeup, I made two Sephora orders and bought all the Urban Decay. I had a generous discount thanks to the Epic Rewards Failure, and I used it as a chance to pick up a few things I probably didn’t need but know that I will enjoy, from a brand I really love. Plus, free samples of course.
Holiday products are always really exciting, but one in particular I had my eye on this year was the Urban Decay Spectrum Palette. I was pretty disappointed this was a website exclusive–back before the site launched in Canada–but I had mostly accepted it when Chelle pointed out it was available on Sephora as well!
The Urban Decay Spectrum Palette is a mix of gorgeous, pigmented shimmery shades that are definitely more colourful than my usual comfort zone but I can’t wait to play with them. I was a little upset because several of my shades arrived swatched, but returns are difficult in my rural area so I will be holding onto it anyway.
My first high end lipstick was actually an Urban Decay Revolution shade (Manic), and since that I acquired one more (Naked) and it is definitely not enough. As much as I adore the matte version, the original line still has more neutrals and so I picked up two shades I had been lusting over that are honestly quite similar, and that’s the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Rapture (left) and Rush (right). These are the kinds of shade I get the most use out of though, so no regrets!
Of course it’s not a Sephora Haul without a few samples, and I picked up two Givenchy Mister Mat Mattifying Foundation Primer, as well as two different face creams from one of my favourite brands, Fresh, and a little sample of the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. I actually really like the Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb so I figured I’d get a little sample of that. I also cashed in 100 points to try out the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer–I don’t need a primer, but this one has such good reviews I decided to try it anyway.
There’s nothing prettier to photograph than a Sephora Haul and I’ve already started to make use of these pretties! I will try have an Spectrum review up next week but in the meantime tell me, what’s on your holiday shopping list? There’s a Tarte set with 5 full size Lipsurgences that I have my eye on next…
