But Zoe, you might ask, I thought you were on a no buy? Well, I was until the month of July (whoops) and I will be back on it soon, but basically Sephora forced me to make an order from them. So this Sephora Haul is not my fault. Nope, not at all.
The reason for my forced Sephora Haul was a special online exclusive that included two Kat Von D eyeshadows. These shadows are usually $19 each, but with this special duo it is only $18 for two shades. Yes, that is a crazy good deal since it is actually less than the cost of buying one! The Kat Von D Shade Shifter Set includes On the Road (brown/green) and Love Letter (purple/maroon) which are both super pretty shades I am excited to try out.
When I was in a Sephora (check out the results of that visit here) looking for the Shade Shifters, I swatched the Kat Von D Saint palette and fell in love. This is such a gorgeous, creamy, pigmented neutral palette and the $75 required for free shipping means I was pretty much forced to put it in my cart. Forced. It comes with an Autograph Black Eyeliner pencil which I have heard good things about, and the plastic case packaging is really nice too.
Finally, to top myself up to $75 and also because it was really cool, I grabbed the Luminous Crème Lipstick Duo in Neutral (shockingly), which is gives you two great options from a brand I really want to try more of, Bite Beauty. The shades on both ends actually look quite similar in person so I’m curious to see how they apply on my lips.
In addition to the purchased goodies, a Sephora Haul would not be complete with some great samples. You get to pick three to add to your order, and I was really excited because they had two fragrances I really wanted to try, Elizabeth and James Nirvana (white) along with Nest Amazon Lily. My last choice was Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation Mattifying Oil Free which is actually quite nice although the nude shade was a tiny bit dark for me. I used the order codes available online to get a Glam Glow mask sample and I have used it once and I am already in love– which is an issue because they are a bit pricey!
Finally, I redeemed most of the points I acquired on this order and last year for two fantastic 100 point perks. I had to take advantage of the chance to try out a Givenchy lipstick, and even on this little sample size the packaging was gorgeous, in its own little box with Givenchy tissue paper! The shade is Rose Dressing, which is a bit bright for me but could be wearable even though I don’t want use it and just want to save this tube forever. I also (thanks to the Kalyn’s love fest over it) cashed in for a YSL Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Babydoll mini, even though I have enough mascara for most of the rural town I live in as it is. But still excited to try it out.
Alright, that’s it for this Sephora Haul and hopefully it’ll be the last haul you see for awhile, but let me know what you’d like to see reviewed first! I am really excited about everything I purchased and it was a great (and deserved?) treat to myself before hunkering back down in no-buy land.
