Sephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation in Light Linen

Sephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation in Light Linen 6I test out different foundations fairly regularly, which means there’s always a risk of one not working, and in today’s review I’ll explain why I really like the Sephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation in Light Linen*, but I won’t be wearing it anymore.

Sephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation in Light Linen 2Sephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation in Light Linen shade has yellow undertones, which make it look very yellow in the swatch but applied to my NC15 skin? This is a perfect match. Check out the amazing before/after below! Although this shade is fairly light, there are actually four options that are even lighter available, as well as plenty of darker ones.

Sephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation in Light LinenSephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation in Light Linen covers redness and evens out skintone. Although it is oil-free, it’s not matte, giving it a more natural but flawless finish. The coverage is buildable and it works best on skin that is not dry. The biggest claim the Sephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation makes is right in the name–10 hour coverage. However, I actually did find my foundation still looked great at the end of the day, so this is definitely a long-wearing product.

Sephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation in Light Linen 5With all those nice things to say about the Sephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation in Light Linen out of the way, here’s the thing I have to admit–this foundation is making me breakout. I have no idea why, and I even tried it again (I really regret that!) to make sure, but the end result was the same. I actually had significantly more breakouts by the end of the day, both times I wore it. It looks great, but my skin does not like it!

Sephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation in Light Linen 4I’m not sure what component of the Sephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation in Light Linen is causing me to breakout, but if it weren’t for that this would be a product I could really recommend. Unfortunately, it also works best on less-dry and therefore more-acne prone skin. However, you can always get a sample and see if it works for you, because everyone’s skin is different and this does have a lot of potential.

What’s your favourite long-wearing foundation?
