I’ve been interested in participating in a Sample Killah since last July when I first saw it done on KalynLord.com but I always got distracted by shiny (and full size) products, so when Kalyn shared that she was going to do it again and invited other blogs to join in, I pulled out my massive bag of foilies and perfume samples and got to work.
Unfortunately, just after I started Sample Killah I lost electricity, which means I didn’t have as much opportunity to shampoo and shower as I would have liked. So my Sample Killah Week One wrap up post is a bit sad. If you’re interested in joining Sample Killah, Kalyn is hosting a contest and you can sign up here. For my first week, I still managed to finish five little samples but my overall goal is to get at least 31– one for each day of the month. We’ll see how I manage.
- TonyMoly Aura Luminous Live Aura CC Cream— I like that this has SPF30 and I am interested in trying more Korean beauty, but I found it had a definite white cast to it so I wasn’t a big fan.
- Katy Perry Killer Queen— I adore the spring edition of this scent (Katy Perry Oh So Sheer reviewed here) and I have a few samples of the original fragrance which is also nice although definitely more wintery.
- John Freida Frizz Ease Dream Curls Shampoo, Conditioner and Calming Creme— Nothing super special or impressive about these but nothing I really noticed as being bad either based on a single use. The Calming Creme did a good job separating my curls.
- July 17th
- July 24th
- July 31st
So check back in a week and see what I managed to finish up this time. I do have power, but I also have blistered fingers, so I’m not overdoing it on the showers or creams this week either. Guess I just have to keep dousing myself in perfume! What do you think of Sample Killah? Do you have a ridiculous surplus of samples like I do?
