I really like the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure line, which is basically the “fanciest” line of polish from the brand, with sleek packaging and a formula that has a built-in base coat, strengthener, and top coat. I do like to add a top coat anyway for extra shine, but I do love these polishes, and I have four brand new releases to share from the Sally Hansen Fall 2014 Collection, which are the shades Grape Gatsby*, Fie Fi Fo Plum*, On Pines and Needles*, and Dark Huemoor*.
Of course I had to go for the two purples in the Sally Hansen Fall 2014 Collection, including this adorably named shade, Sally Hansen Grape Gatsby. It’s a bright radiant orchid shade that’s not super unique colour-wise (although it is gorgeous) but what sets it apart is the flawless formula, creamy and pigmented with two coats. I’ve heard rumours you can even get it opaque with one coat if you use a thick one.
The second purple is a darker, medium purple shade called Sally Hansen Fie Fi Fo Plum. Yeah, it’s definitely not plum, but it is pretty! Although this shade also had a great formula and looked good with two coats (in person, my lighting is a bit harder on it) it’s one instance where I definitely think a top coat is useful to help increase the shine.
Sally Hansen On Pines and Needles is another adorable name for a great fall shade, this time a dark, shimmering forest green. You can see the shimmer better in the first photo, and it definitely shows up with some sunlight. I went for two coats of polish for this shade as well.
The final shade in the Sally Hansen Fall 2014 Collection is just so pretty, but so dangerous, and that’s Sally Hansen Dark Huemoor. It’s basically opaque with one coat, although I ended up with going with two to even it out, but like many similar shades, it can definitely stain. I love what a rich navy it is, dark dark blue without being black. I think it would also look gorgeous with some silver glitter. So I will be reaching for this shade again… just with a good base coat and a lot of patience during removal.
Well those are my four shades to share from the Sally Hansen Fall 2014 Collection. I also previously shared a really pretty dark green, Sally Hansen Ever Green*, which you can see here. Honestly, I don’t know which of these to say you must grab, they all have great formulas and are shade I really like! Get them all? Let me know if you do pick up any polishes from the Sally Hansen Fall 2014 Collection.
