I’ve got to admit that when it comes to polish, I have a particular fondness for glitter, jewel tones and vampy shades of Fall Collections. There are 16 new shades available thanks to the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Fall 2015 Collection* and, with one very lovely exception, the 6 I have are exactly what I think of for fall.
Sally Hansen Bow to the Queen is a dusty slate blue with slight green tones that appears deeper on the nail than it does in the bottle. This shade has a great formula and requires 2 coats for opacity.
Sally Hansen Fool’s Gold is a classic metallic gold polish that requires 2 coats. The polish is a bit frosty with brushstrokes, but reflective enough that they aren’t too noticeable in person and it’s still quite pretty.
Sally Hansen Jewels of the Trade is a glowing magenta with a pink shift to it. I went with 2 coats for this shade although there is still a little visible nail line. However, the slight duochrome to the polish really gives it a jewel appearance and it’s especially pretty in the light.
Sally Hansen Style Is Eternal is a blue teal cream polish that is still a little bit sheer with two coats. It’s probably not a surprise this is the shade I thought was a bit odd for fall, but it’s still the kind of bright shade I love to wear. However, it is definitely a stainer, so beware and base-coat appropriately!
Sally Hansen Talk is Chic is a dark grayish purple that appears much darker on the nails than it did in the bottle. It took me 2-3 coats to get an even, opaque finish. Although I wish the formula was a little better, this is definitely a chic shade for fall!
Sally Hansen Tropic Thunder is a dark navy cream with grey tones to it. This shade required 2 coats for opacity, and I really loved the end result. It’s a great black or oxblood alternative for something slightly vampy and there’s something I just really love about navy polishes for fall. Especially when you top them with silver glitter…
Overall, there’s a great range of shades in the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Fall 2015 lineup, and there’s 10 more I haven’t shared here! Although I like all of these shades, my personal fall pick is definitely the Sally Hansen Bow to the Queen. What’s yours?
