This is one of those fun posts where I was sent a product for review, only to recognize it immediately… because I already own it. These are two great lipsticks, Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss in #5* and #8*. The one I already owned is #8.
Yesterday I featured these lipsticks in the matte finish and I said hold onto your wallets because the traditional kind are awesome (okay maybe I didn’t say it in quite those words). Well they are. Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss in #5 and #8 are super pigmented, creamy, and comfortable to wear but they do transfer. They have a fruity scent and faded naturally with #5 leaving behind a faint stain.
I always talk about how much I like neutral lipsticks and Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss in #5 is definitely not one of them, but while I was testing this out I definitely fell in love with and have been wearing it since. It’s a strawberry pink that’s easy to apply and bright not shocking. I can see myself reaching for this even more during the summer when it’s too hot for much eye makeup but I want a pop of colour. It leaves behind a very faint but natural stain when it fades.
Much more within my comfort zone is Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss in #8, a brownish mauve. It’s neither super glossy nor matter, and is a flattering and easy to wear neutral shade in a non-drying, opaque formula that I have worn plenty of times and really like. My lips aren’t perfect and I think this shade out of all 4 Kate Moss lipsticks I’ve reviewed works the best on them in terms of not highlighting dry patches.
I would easily recommend both Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss in #5 and #8, and although I knew I would love #8 (I mean I already bought it!) I am surprised by how much I like #5 as well. These are comfortable, pigmented, affordable lipsticks and I am definitely tempted by more shades in the line.
Have you tried any of these lipsticks from Rimmel before?
