Julep July is over, and although I was considering spending all of August swatching Julep again, I realized I had a nice batch of the new Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy polishes I could share with you instead! There’s no nice alliteration for this theme, but over the next week or so I’ll be sharing all my remaining shades of this fantastic new line, starting with Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy in Hot Hand*. Hot Hand is a bright Barbie pink cream shade.
Does Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy in Hot Hand look freshly swatched? Probably not, and that’s because I took these photos after three full days of wear! I will give you as close as I can get to perfect polishing for the remaining shades, but I wanted this first one as evidence of how awesome the lasting power is on these polishes. Three days and just a slight hint of tip wear! These may not need a UV lamp to cure, but they definitely live up to their gel-envy promises. You can also see how glossy the shade remains as a result of the Diamond Top Coat that is the secret to the long-lasting shades.
In terms of the shade itself, Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy in Hot Hand was sheer with one coat and so I went with two, but you can still sorta see VNL. It is a very glossy polish even before you add the top coat, but definitely add the Diamond Top Coat to get that long lasting finish! The formula itself is okay, but what I am really impressed by is the end result. I definitely need all the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy shades now!
