I love the regular line of Quo by Orly polishes so it was exciting to learn they’ve just added a line up of gel-like polishes. I have the Quo by Orly Color Amp’d LA Dreamin*, On The List* and Paparazzi* and I’ve been testing them out over the past few days along with the matching Quo by Orly Color Amp’d Flexible Sealcoat*.
Quo by Orly Color Amp’d LA Dreamin is a sheer bright pink. I would definitely pair this with a white base because I don’t like how visible my nails are underneath, although I’m not sure if there’s a solid white Color Amp’d polish yet. I used 2 coats. I really like the brushes on the regular Quo by Orly lineup and these ones are just as good.
Quo by Orly Color Amp’d On The List is a metallic silvery rose gold with a subtle brushstrokes in the frosty finish. It does have a great formula though and is opaque in 2 shades. All of the Quo by Orly Color Amp’d shades I tried did a great job self-leveling and had a very even finish.
Quo by Orly Color Amp’d Paparazzi is a subtle holographic purple polish. I was impressed to see a holographic shade from the drugstore and although it is quite sheer I used a thick second coat which gave it a semi-opaque finish. It does still have a really pretty sparkle to it in the light!
The Quo by Orly Color Amp’d Flexible Sealcoat gives a thick, glossy finish to the polish which definitely does a great job with the “gel-like” aspect of the polishes. In terms of wear, I tested out the shade Paparazzi and found it lasted slightly better than my usual experience with polishes but there was tip wear and some minor chipping by the end of day 3.
If you like these shades, or any of the other 21 ones available, I definitely think the Quo by Orly Color Amp’d line is worth looking into. The formulas I tested were all really great and the top coat offers a really glossy finish with slightly longer wear.
What do you think of these Quo by Orly Color Amp’d polishes?
