As they do with every change of the season, there’s a brand new collection out from Quo, and this one is perfect for the upcoming gift-giving season. I have four products from the Quo Holiday 2014 Collection to share, which includes the Quo All About Brows Palette*, the Quo Love Lip Set*, the Quo Walk the Line Eye Liner Set*, and the Quo Essential Eyes Palette*.
The Quo All About Brows Palette contains everything you need for flawless brows included two shades of brow powder, a mirror, a brow gel, stencils, a brush, tweezers, and a spoolie, all in a magnetic case. Although this palette does help fill in my brows slightly, neither shade is anywhere near dark enough for my almost black hair. Everything in the set is useful, but the packaging is a bit bulky and I would prefer if the powders and gel were in a small palette such as Quo Browz Eyebrow Palette from the Quo Fall 2014 Collection. However for somebody who hasn’t really done anything with their brows before, the Quo All About Brows Palette is a great starter set.
My favourite bit of the Quo Holiday 2014 Collection is the Quo Love Lip Set, which contains six mini lip glosses in a range of shades perfect for giving either together, or individually. The glosses are an adorable size, and have a doe-foot applicator. They have a creamy formula that is non-sticky and semi-sheer, with one sparkly one. The glosses have a vanilla scent, and are comfortable on the lips, lasting about as long as you would expect a gloss–an hour or two. The Quo Love Lip Set would definitely make good stocking stuffers, or you could just keep them all.
The Quo Walk the Line Eye Liner Set comes with four shades, a bright turquoise, a steel silver, a creamy black, and a coppery brown. Although I always prefer an eyeliner you don’t have to sharpen, these are creamy and pigmented, especially that black. However, they were actually so creamy that I found the tip broke up when I tried to swatch them, although it wasn’t an issue on my eyes. I don’t often use eyeliner, but these apply nicely although the creamy factor means they aren’t transfer or smudge-resistant.
The disappointment for me in the Quo Holiday 2014 Collection was the Quo Essential Eyes Palette, which contains four neutral shades. There’s a sparkly champagne, a matte dark brown, a pale beige, and a white. The shadows vary in pigmentation, but they are all a bit hard, while I prefer something more soft and buttery. That said, the packaging on the Quo Essential Eyes Palette, as well as the other palettes in the Quo Holiday 2014 Collection, is really gorgeous, I just wish I liked the shadows inside more.
I used a selection of the products from the Quo Holiday 2014 Collection to create the above look, including the darker shade as well as the gel from the All About Brows, the darkest mauve lipgloss from the Quo Love Lip Set, the turquoise liner from the Quo Walk the Line Eye Liner Set, and of course the Quo Essential Eyes Palette.
