Back in January I posted about the Pur Cosmetics Eye Polish in Velvet and the response was included comments like “Wow” “Holy color!” and even “WAAAAAOOOOWWWW.” (that last one was from Steph over at Fun Size Beauty). I could not have agreed more, I am still totally in love with that unique shadow and was thrilled to add one more from the range, the Pur Cosmetics Eye Polish in Silk, to my collection.
In terms of reviewing the product itself, my thoughts on the Pur Cosmetics Eye Polish in Silk are exactly the same as for Velvet. It’s an eye primer and shadow in one, which means it’s not only crease-proof but it also has a gorgeous foil finish. It comes with a silicone applicator brush, so you don’t have to stick your fingers in the shadow.
In terms of the consistency, the Pur Cosmetics Eye Polish is a bit watery but sets fairly quickly. The best application for me is when I use the included brush, which gives it a more opaque finish, but a finger definitely works too.
It’s okay if you gasp, I know the Pur Cosmetics Eye Polish in Silk is just that gorgeous. This is a rose gold coppery shade that I could easily wear for the rest of my life (and nothing else). Even without primer, this shade lasts almost all day and still looks great when I get home from work.
Both the colour and foil finish of the Pur Cosmetics Eye Polish in Silk remind me of the Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Eyeshadow Rio de Rose Gold (reviewed here), but I definitely prefer it because the packaging is much better. There are 6 shades available of the Eye Polish and I now have 2 so basically my life is only missing 4 things.
I know this was another predictable gush fest for the Pur Cosmetics Eye Polish in Silk but honestly after looking at the photos in this post, can you blame me? I definitely feel like Pur Cosmetics doesn’t get enough love on beauty blogs but if you pick one product to start off with from the brand, I highly recommend going for an Eye Polish!
Have you tried any products from Pur Cosmetics? What do you think of the Eye Polish in Silk?
