With any perfume, the first thing I notice is the packaging, and the box and bottle for Prada Candy Florale is flawless. It has a unique pump top that comes with a stopper so that it won’t spray if you are traveling with it (obviously still not something you would store in your purse though!) and the bottle itself is gold, pink and white. The fragrance liquid is a pale pink, and the bottle has a subtle and unique rose design at the bottom. I think that component is so pretty!
Inside the bottle, Prada Candy Florale is fresh, light floral scent that I’d be more likely to reach for in spring, although if you’re not into heavier winter scents then there’s no reason not to wear this year-round. This is definitely a floral, not a gourmand scent, so I’m not sure how much it has in common with the original Candy scent. The strongest note in the fragrance for me is the peony, with a base of white musk and some light citrus blended in. Unfortunately, I only get a couple hours wear out of this fragrance, so I would recommend reapplying throughout the day.
Overall, I think the packaging of Prada Candy Florale is gorgeous and the scent is nice, although not incredibly unique among my collection. From reading the scent notes, I actually think I’d be better matched with the original Candy, which is caramel and vanilla and sounds delicious for winter, so I’ll have to give it a sniff next time I see it in store.
Have you tried any of the Prada Candy fragrances before?
