This scenario may sound familiar to you: holiday season comes around, and as much as you’ve spent the whole year brainstorming up new gifts for friends and family, there’s one thing you haven’t planned for…Secret Santa. Whether it’s at work, school, or with friends, I feel like there’s always a Secret Santa or White Elephant gift exchange to join in on. That’s why I picked out 6 great gifts you can give that will fit within the budget of $15 or less and pretty much be appreciated by anyone.
First up is the Avon Inspirational Mug Gift Set ($12.99)*, which is available in three different designs, including my favourite “Keep Calm and Sip On”. Everyone can use a nice mug, and these sets come with a lid that also works as a coaster. They are dishwasher safe, and with the ribbon and gift-tag, basically wrapped for you. If you’re a bit under budget, you can always fill the mug with candy.
Another great gift idea is a candle, and Avon has a yummy range of holiday scents including the Avon Whipped Pumpkin Candle*, Avon Vanilla Buttercream Candle* and the Avon Salted Caramel Candle*, all for $12.99. I recently shared the Avon Mandarin Cranberry Candle in my Cozy Comforts roundup, but I have been loving all three of these scents as well.
The candles have three wicks, burn evenly, and are something that would be appreciated in any home during the holiday season. It’s less Christmas-y but I’ve got to admit my favourite is the Whipped Pumpkin, it’s like a vanilla pumpkin cupcake and it does an amazing job filling the room.
Behind door #3, there’s the Magnetic Poetry Happiness Kit ($15). This set comes with over 200 words, and they are all inspired by an emotion that your recipient is hopefully feeling during the holidays–happiness! I think Magnetic Poetry for the fridge is a lot of fun, and something most people would enjoy even if they haven’t picked it up for themselves yet.
When it comes to Secret Santas, it’s nice if the gift does most of the work for you, and that’s definitely the case with the Zoella Beauty Fizz Bar Fragranced Bath Fizzer ($9.99), which basically comes in wrapping paper. This bar has a really yummy scent, and you can break it into pieces to use one square for each bath.
I think bath products make great gifts because most people enjoy a relaxing bath, and they aren’t going to sit around and collect dust. I actually bought this one for somebody else at IMATS, but it’s so cute and smell so good I’m tempted to keep it for myself.
Every year Soap & Glory comes out with the most amazing holiday sets, and this year there are two really affordable options at Shopper’s Drugmart. I have the Soap & Glory Three Times Butter ($15)* which is a trio of three of their much-loved body butters.
I have already talked about how much I love sweet lime of Sugar Crush, and I actually also brought back a full sized The Righteous Butter from the UK which is a sweet, powdery scent. I hadn’t tried Smoothie Star before it is a mix of oat, yoghurt and honey that I don’t love quite as much as the other two.
One gift I’ll be picking up for myself this year is the Soap & Glory Winter Wonderhand Set, which includes the same three scents in a hand cream, which I have really loved from the brand before (totally non-greasy!)
The final Secret Santa pick for $15 or less is one I just couldn’t resist, and that’s the Sephora Collection Cat Nap Eye Mask ($15)*. Not only is this mask really adorable, but it has a lovely soft satin lining and there’s an adjustable Velcro strap to make sure it fits nicely. I mean, who can say no to that face?
I honestly find gift exchanges to be pretty stressful, and they often happen quite awhile before Christmas depending on who is participating, so I wanted to get up this gift guide first. The fact that there are usually low monetary limits doesn’t mean you can’t get something great, as these 6 gifts for $15 or less show.
Do you participate in a Secret Santa or White Elephant Gift Exchange? Let me know if you have any other suggestions to add!
