I originally tried out the new no-lamp gel polish from OPI with a gorgeous green, OPI Infinite Shine Withstands the Test of Thyme. Today I’m back with three more shades from the line, OPI Infinite Shine Girl Without Limits*, Maintaining My Sand-ity* and Never Give Up!* Of course there’s the same matching base and top coat which help the polish last longer (although I found the formula similar to traditional polish) and be extra shiny (it definitely meets that criteria). I did swatch these without the top coat, so any shine you see is from the polish itself, and I promise the top coat adds even more.
I’m sharing these polishes alphabetically, but in this case that also means starting with my favourite, OPI Infinite Shine Girl Without Limits. It’s such a bright, bubblegum pink that just really looks cheerful on the nails. I did end up going with 3 coats to even out any streakiness, but I almost want to say I was having a bad night and you should just need 2, because it is so pretty.
The other two shades I have are pretty neutral, and I am never a big nude fan so it wasn’t a surprise that I didn’t fall in love with OPI Infinite Shine Maintaining My Sand-ity. This sandy shade takes 2 coats and the end result was a little uneven for me and I probably should have done three coats like the pink.
I’m pretty undecided about the final shade, OPI Infinite Shine Never Give Up! Is it brown? Is it burgundy? There seems to be something a little reddish to it that comes out more on camera, because at first I thought this was just a rich brown. The same two coat story.
There are thirty shades of cream polishes in the OPI Infinite Shine range, so it’s really a matter of picking the ones you like, and as somebody who doesn’t wear many neutral polishes (I save that for my eyelids and lips!) I love both Girl Without Limits and Withstands the Test of Thyme. I also love the extra shiny finish the top coat gives. Do you have a favourite?
