Apparently every few months, I like to talk about periods on Writing Whimsy. Back in May I brought you The Stayfree Challenge (and corresponding giveaway) and today I’m back with some support from o.b. Tampons. o.b. is a brand that was started 50 years ago by German gynecologist Dr. Judith Esser, named after the German phrase “ohne binde” or “without napkins” to mean, without sanitary pads. It was the first tampon without an applicator.
o.b. Tampons are discrete, affordable, and easy to use. You peel off the plastic protector and then open it up with your finger, using the pocket in the bottom to insert it. The o.b. tampons are definitely the smallest I’ve seen, which means they are easy to tuck away in a pocket or purse for when you might need one. They also minimize on packaging and waste.
You can learn lots more about o.b. tampons at the website http://www.giveusoneperiod.ca/ Also make sure to use the hashtag #giveusoneperiod to interact and win prizes on the twitter @ob_Canada Of course you have your own chance to win as well right here on Writing Whimsy using the form below. There are going to be 25 winners, so plenty of chances to take home a box of o.b. tampons to test out yourself. The giveaway is open to Canada only and ends September 21st at midnight. Good luck!
