NYX Girls Emerald Forest

I love bright glittery colours, so it’s no surprise that I fell in love with NYX Girls Emerald Forest. It’s a bright green that’s opaque in two coats and so glittery in the sun. Even indoors, it’s gorgeous. In these photos I’m wearing two coats plus top coat.

My NYX Girls Emerald Forest goes on a bit thick these days, but I think it’s because I’ve had my bottle for awhile now and I’m not sure how much longer it will last, it’s drying up a bit. Keep in mind I’ve had it probably two years, and it only cost me $3 in the first place. That’s the sad fact of having so many polishes, even the really pretty ones get neglected sometimes!

NYX Girls Emerald Forest looks a lot like the perfect St. Patrick’s Day colour out of direct sunlight, even if it’s not as sparkly I love that you can still see the glitter. Also, I’m feeling a bit nostalgic towards my fingernails in these photos, does anyone else have index fingernail issues? Mine keep breaking, forcing me to cut all my other nails down. I ended up swatching a colour anyway but I’ll be much happier to do it once my nails grow back some more.

Honestly, I’m not sure how many more times I’ll be able to wear NYX Girls Emerald Forest before the thickness of it gets unmanageable. Plus the bottle is somehow about half done already (maybe that’s why it’s thickening?) But I love this polish and would definitely consider repurchasing in the future, I don’t have anything else like it in my collection.

What do you think of NYX Girls Emerald Forest? Do you have any tips for breaking index fingernails?
