I really love a lip crayon, so I’m pretty much set on trying every brand available which is why I was quite sad when my NYC Cityproof Lip Crayon in South Ferry Berry* arrived broken. However, I didn’t let that stop me from swatching and sharing it, but I want to apologize for the less than ideal photos, I had to reinsert it back into the tube when I got it. I blame Fedex for this causality.
NYC Cityproof Lip Crayon in South Ferry Berry is an incredibly pigmented, creamy bright classic red. I honestly wouldn’t call it berry at all. It might be easier to apply if it hadn’t been damaged, but with a shade this bright I would still recommend a lip pencil–you can obviously tell that my lip lines aren’t perfectly crisp. Despite having the pigment of a lipstick, NYC Cityproof Lip Crayon in South Ferry Berry has an extremely comfortable formula. It’s also very glossy and definitely not transfer proof, although it does last quite awhile and leave behind a stain. It also has a light vanilla scent.
NYC is one of the most affordable brands at the drugstore but from testing out NYC Cityproof Lip Crayon in South Ferry Berry you wouldn’t know it. It’s pigmented and moisturizing and I actually feel like it hides some of the flaws in my lips and makes them look nicer.
Next on my wishlist? Definitely the more neutral shades like Riverside Rose and Brooklyn Brown Stone!
