Time for another skincare post, and this is a good one. I’ve been interested in the NUXE Reve de Miel lineup almost as long as I’ve been blogging because honey is one of my favourite ingredients. Although I’ve tried a few products from the brand including the famous NUXE Huile Prodigieuse (and the Or verision) as well as the BIO-BEAUTE by NUXE High Nutrition Body Lotion, I’ve never tried any of the skincare before. I was pretty thrilled to have the chance to try out three products from the range, the NUXE Reve de Miel Cleansing Gel*, Lip Balm* and Hand and Nail Cream*.
The NUXE Reve de Miel Cleansing Gel is a thick gel with a lightly floral honey scent that’s quite lovely. This is a very mild cleanser that massage into damp skin for a light, soap-free lather. Although it does remove some makeup it’s not meant for eyes and won’t do anything too stubborn so I prefer to apply Bioderma to my eyes first.
The real magic product of the trio is definitely the NUXE Reve de Miel Lip Balm. Honestly, if a product has ever done a fantastic job living up to hype–and even exceeding it–it’s this lip balm. My lips were in super rough shape after traveling and even after I used this for ONE NIGHT they were pretty much flawless.
Grapefruit essence gives the NUXE Reve de Miel Lip Balm more a citrus scent which surprised me since I really expected it to smell like honey. It has a soft consistency and I apply a generous layer to my lips at night. While I’m sleeping it forms a protective layer that leaves my lips super soft in the morning. I actually love it so much I’ve been stealing a little bit for my poor dry cuticles too. Although I wouldn’t travel with the pot format, there’s no white cast to the lips like Nivea, so it can definitely be worn during the day as well.
The final product I’ve been using is the NUXE Reve de Miel Hand and Nail Cream. This has a very lightly floral honey scent similar to the Cleansing Gel and a lightweight consistency that absorbs immediately into my hands, leaving them moisturized but not greasy. I love the scent and the addition of ingredients like honey, oils and vitamin E are great to help protect and repair your skin, but I feel like my skin is so dry right now it’s not quite intense enough. However it is nice for using throughout the day since it leaves my hands silky but I can still type on my computer afterwards.
As a self-admitted honey lover I was really excited to try out the NUXE Reve de Miel lineup, and it did not disappoint. If I redid my Best Nighttime Lip Balms you would definitely see the NUXE Reve de Miel Lip Balm on the list, and it is 100% a product I would repurchase. Honestly, I have gone a few days without using it while I test something else out and I miss it already. The lineup also has a face cream, body cream, and lip balm in a stick format that I’m really interested in.
Have you tried NUXE Reve de Miel products yet?
