Nivea Lip Butter Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss is one of those YouTube and blog cult favourites that I just kept hearing good things about but had never tried… and I admit it, eventually the hype sold me and when I found it on sale for $2.50 I finally grabbed one.
The initial reason I was hesitant to pick up a Nivea Lip Butter Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss was the “pot” format, which involves you sticking your finger in your lip balm in order to apply it. It’s really not travel friendly for that reason, I prefer to stick with products I can apply directly on my lips. Still, the promise of the scent won me over.
Well, it’s true, all those reviews are right. It’s DELICIOUS. Honestly this is one of the best things I’ve ever smelled. I want it in perfume format or hand lotion, something I can apply and smell all the time. Yum. Fantastic job Nivea.
For anyone who hasn’t heard the hype, here’s my own perspective on the Nivea Lip Butter Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss. When you open the container, it’s milky white and creamy, which is a lovely and rich consistency that feels great on the lips, but predictably leaves a definite white-cast, meaning that I love the way that it feels, I love the way that it smells, but I don’t love the way that it looks.
You can sorta tell on my skin, but I do think it’s more obvious on my lips. Because of the white-cast and because of the unhygienic container, I’ve opted to leave my Nivea Lip Butter Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss beside the bathroom sink at home. I can apply it with clean fingers when I’m around the house, and often use it before bed. I love going to sleep with that scent, so relaxing! I do think it does a nice job moisturizing my lips as well.
Overall, I understand where the praise of this product comes from and although I don’t think I’d be such a fangirl in a different scent, I do adore this one. It’s a massive format at almost 17 g of product, so I’ll be using and enjoying the Nivea Lip Butter Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss for a long time!
Have you tried any of the Nivea Lip Butters? Let me know what you think! And make sure to smell this one if you get the chance!
