Nivea In-Shower Body Milk

Nivea In-Shower Body Milk 3It’s always really exciting when an affordable, drugstore brand launches a product that was previously only available at a much higher cost–and that’s exactly the case with the Nivea In-Shower Body Milk*. The closest thing I can compare it to is the Lush Body Conditioner, which I love, but definitely has a higher price tag attached to it. It also comes in a tub, whereas the Nivea option comes in a much more shower-friendly bottle.

Nivea In-Shower Body Milk 2But for those of you who don’t know, what exactly is the Nivea In-Shower Body Milk? It’s basically body lotion for the shower. After regular cleansing, you apply it to wet skin. I find it pretty much absorbs, but you do rinse it off after. When your shower is over, you can skip the moisturizer step! Or, you know, continue to not do it, if you regularly skip it regardless.

I was most excited to get my boyfriend to try the Nivea In-Shower Body Milk out, because he has really dry skin that he is horrible about applying lotion to. He really noticed a difference while using this product, but his only concern was that, given he is six feet tall, he’d go through the bottle fairly quickly.

Nivea In-Shower Body MilkPersonally, I find it much quicker to use the Nivea In-Shower Body Milk because you don’t have to try to apply lotion to skin that’s not fully dry, or wait while it absorbs in. It has a “Nivea” scent to it, does a great job moisturizing thank to the almond oil, and there’s no greasy residue afterwards. It can make the tub a little slippery, as it warns on the packaging, so be a little careful when using it.

There are actually three different new in-shower body lotion options from Nivea, including the Replenishing and Hydrating Formulations made with Shea Butter and Sea Minerals instead of Almond Oil. I’d be curious to see how the other formulas compare! What do you think about the idea of an In-Shower Body Milk?
