I have a fondness for Coca Cola because my dad is a huge fan of Diet Coke and I was pretty excited to learn of the Nicole by OPI Coca Cola Collection*. Last year, OPI did a collaboration as well, but if I have to pick, I think the Nicole by OPI polishes are even better!
Nicole by OPI Always a Classic Coca-Cola: This classically gorgeous bright red is refreshingly
stylish.
We all (and by we I mean, beauty bloggers) have a billion red polishes in our collections, but this glowy shimmery red with orange undertones was super pretty and applied perfectly with two coats.
Nicole by OPI DC Lover: Scintillating silver with iconic-Coke red sparkle.
Easily the shade I was most excited about when I saw the Nicole by OPI Coca Cola Collection press release, I think it is my favourite in real life as well. I used 3 thin coats, as it is buildable although I think it would be easiest to just apply one coat over a silver base to get an effect similar to the bottle. Nicole by OPI DC Lover a slight texture but a glossy top coat (not pictured) smoothed it out perfectly.
Nicole by OPI In Grape Demand: People are lining up to get their hands on this yummy plum.
Can I ever resist a purple? The answer is no, especially when it comes to one with a flawless formula like this! I went with two coats of this bright plummy shade and I love the result. Nicole by OPI In Grape Demand would also make a great pedicure shade for the summer months.
Nicole by OPI The Look is Orange: Put the squeeze on this bright and stylish orange!
This bright orange shade was bad, but it wasn’t as much of a standout as most of the Nicole by OPI Coca Cola collection. The formula is okay but a little thin and sheer, so I went with three coats to mainly hide VNL (visible nail line).
Nicole by OPI Seriously Citrus: No kidding…this clean, sparkling green with refreshing, cool white is gorgeous!
Of course, Nicole by OPI The Look is Orange looks even better when topped with some glitter, so I added one coat of Nicole by OPI Seriously Citrus. There’s plenty of glitter in this shade that includes blue, silver and green. I love when OPI does glitter top coats, because they are always a lot of fun, including this one.
Nicole by OPI Zero is My Hero: Just in time, this darkly rich burgundy has come to my rescue!
The final shade in the Nicole by OPI Coca Cola collection was a little disappointing to me. It actually seems like most people love Nicole by OPI Zero is My Hero but to me this slightly shimmery burgundy brown with golden undertones just looks a bit muddy. I used two coats, which is definitely needed, for opacity.
Overall, I think the Nicole by OPI Coca Cola collection is pretty fun, with a nice mix of two creams, two shimmers, and two glitters. My personal favourite shades are definitely Nicole by OPI DC Lover and In Grape Demand. What are yours?
