It’s definitely a little more difficult for me to review products specifically targeted at men, but I wanted to share two limited edition launches from Mary Kay with you. The MK High Intensity Sport Hair and Body Wash* and Cologne Spray* have a really nice fresh and masculine scent to them that I think would be very easy to wear without being overly musky the way some men fragrance can be. The notes include gin berry and icy bergamont along with cool cardamon, mint leaf, and violet pepper, all on a base of wild birch bark and amber.
The packaging is a sleek black and orange that definitely has the sporty vibe to it, and I really love the matte black bottle of the cologne, it’s kinda like Nars packaging but without all the dust and fingerprints. The MK High Intensity Sport Hair and Body Wash is a very thick gel that is one of those products I can actually understand how it would work as a shampoo as well, especially if you didn’t have a ton of hair to moisturize. I tried out the MK High Intensity Sport Cologne Spray and got at least a few hours of wear out of it (I admit I didn’t try wearing this men’s fragrance multiple times like I usually do to test the wear of something!) and it really is a great scent without being overpowering.
Before this I wasn’t familiar with any of Mary Kay’s men’s products, but if the MK High Intensity Sport Hair and Body Wash and Cologne Spray are any indication they are classic and effect. These would definitely make a great matching pair as a gift for a man in your life (or for yourself, if I happen to have any male readers that aren’t my dad!)
