Ah, nothing brightens my day like seeing that bright pink mailer and box, and although I knew what was inside the box I was still pretty excited to open and test out the contents of the Memebox Superbox #65 Korea’s Most Wanted 2*.
Everything from the hottest skincare staples, makeup must-haves, hair and body essentials, and other K-beauty breakthroughs, Korea’s Most Wanted 2 is bursting with beauty hall-of-famers straight from our Memebox Korea shop! You’ll get the scoop on the latest Korean beauty trends and see what’s cookin’ at Memebox Korea!
elRoel Tone Up Starter SPF50++PA+++ Green (Full size $43): This is basically a primer, that has a high SPF and very slight green hint (in a white base) to it to help minimize redness. It is very subtle and while I wouldn’t use it for that purpose alone, I won’t complain as redness is something I deal with. I also love the pump packaging, and in addition to the SPF factor I’m thinking I’ll take this on my trip to Peru since I don’t expect to do my makeup every day, but I do want to protect my skin and there was no gross greasy residue when I used this like with many sunscreens.
Hiello Blooming Multi Firming Cream (Full size $50): I don’t know about the $50 “Memevalue” but this does look like a luxurious cream. For some reason I really expected it to have a strong floral scent, but it is quite subtle. It’s a heavy cream that actually suggests using it as an overnight treatment once a week, which I might have to try. Either way, I would stick to using this before bed as I do find it leaves my skin a touch sticky, even when I apply lightly.
The Tang Tang Kissy Skin Therapy Peeling Wash (Full size $23): The Memebox Superbox #65 Korea’s Most Wanted 2 is quite heavy on skincare, but luckily all the products do different things, and this is one of those weird peeling face washes that makes it look like your skin is come off. However, as this is meant for dry and sensitive skins, it is a lot more gentle than the other one I’ve tried and there is only a little bit of peely bits. It did do a nice job cleansing my skin though.
Kskin Emu Leg R-Free Massage Cream (Full size $46): This sounds really strange, but it’s basically a cooling lotion that would be great applied to your feet at the end of a long day. It has pretty strong scent, probably due to the peppermint oil, and as long as you don’t mind that it’s pretty nice to use and reminds me a little of the benefits of the Lush Volcano Foot Mask.
LadyKin One Touch Bling Glow Lipstick in Plum Burgundy (Full size $11): There’s only one piece of makeup in the Memebox Superbox #65 Korea’s Most Wanted 2, but it is WONDERFUL. This lipstick came in one of three shades, and I do wish I got the more neutral Fall Rose, but the formula is fantastic. It’s very glossy and moisturizing, and is incredibly comfortable on the lips. The Plum shade is a great choice for winter, and after a couple of hours it stops being so moisturizing and fades to a really pretty stain–if it looked like that from the start I might be more comfortable wearing it. I really like this lipstick and I think it’s definitely worth the Memevalue.
The Face Shop Calendula Eden Essential Moisture Essence (Full size $9): We can now get The Face Shop products in Canada, but I’ve never tried the brand before so this was fun to get. The packaging is really nice, especially considering it’s under ten dollars. It’s a heavy frosted glass with a pump, and the product itself is a moisturizing facial serum that is also supposed to help even and smooth skin. I haven’t been using it long enough to see any results, but I will definitely be adding it to my nighttime skincare routine.
The Memebox Superbox #65 Korea’s Most Wanted 2 box is definitely my favourite I’ve received from Memebox yet, and I was really happy with the products it contained and will use them all (except maybe the Firming Cream, which I might pass on to somebody older). I especially love the lipstick and I wish there was more makeup in the box, which just encourages me to order one of the makeup-only Memeboxes in the future. Although this box is sold out, there are always a range of cool boxes available from Memebox and I’ll leave a selection of links and promo codes below (to be updated as soon as I get the December ones!).
