Before I was sent any Memeboxes for review, I actually pre-ordered one I was super excited about all on my own, and now I finally am going to share the Memebox Superbox #61 My Cute Wishlist 3 with you. At the time I ordered, only the first My Cute Wishlist box had been released, and it was AMAZING. When I saw the second box, it was less impressive and coming in third is…this box.
I love the mix of unusual Korean Beauty goodies offered by the brand, but I am really disappointed if the box doesn’t stick to the theme, and honestly the contents of Memebox Superbox #61 My Cute Wishlist 3 aren’t cute. It does include six products, however, all full-sized. I’m going to be rehoming a couple of these so I haven’t really tested them all out, but I’ll share my first impressions and what I thought when I did try them.
Hope Girl Tinted Balm in Hot Cherry (Full Size $12): This has a nice smell, but basically comes across as a standard tinted balm in a pot format–which I don’t like. If it was adorable, I might keep it and use it, but as it is, I have enough tinted balms I’m obsessed with that I will try to find this a new home. Cuteness factor: ZERO.
Shara Shara Fairy’s Make-up Synergy Sun Cream SPF45 PA++ (Full size $21): Ah this doll sunscreen thing is just so creepy and not cute at all. The packaging is super bulky, and although it apparently contains 30 mL it is hard to get it to start pumping because there’s so much air and so little product instead. It does absorb very well into the skin, and with an SPF 45 it will be nice to use on my face, but in terms of something cute? Not at all, and the price seems very exaggerated as well. Also, why is that doll still staring at me…
ddung Family Foam Cleansing Cream in Milky (Full size $12): I honestly don’t find this cute either, and in terms of product I think it’s just a basic cleanser, which will probably get used at some point, but I’m not going to look forward to those big eyes staring at me. What’s it with all the doll eyes in the Memebox Superbox #61 My Cute Wishlist 3?
Shara Shara Kissing Sugar Lip Scrub (Full size $7): Finally, something in the box I like! I actually just got a lip scrub from Memebox in their Smile Care Box, and I already had one in use at home, so this is going to be put aside for now, but it does smell great.
Youngwoosa Oh! It’s Lovely and Soft Cream (Full size $47): I have a few face creams in use right now so I haven’t tried this one out to see if it’s worth nearly fifty dollars, but I can say, the packaging doesn’t qualify as adorable either. It is meant to really moisturize your skin though so it is a good time of year to receive it.
Tonymoly Red Cheeks Girl’s Patch (Full size $2): Honestly, these face masks for your cheeks might be the only thing in the Memebox Superbox #61 My Cute Wishlist 3 that fits the theme, but they are kinda difficult to use because they want to fall off your face. They also didn’t really make a difference I could tell, but I will forgive them because they are actually adorable.
Overall, it’s pretty obvious how disappointed I am by the Memebox Superbox #61 My Cute Wishlist 3. Memebox does AMAZING boxes a lot of the time, but for me, this was a total miss. I will get use out of most of the products, so it’s not a total waste of money, but I didn’t really need another cleanser or face cream if they aren’t absolutely adorable or special in some way, and honestly, the products in this box aren’t. That said, Memebox succeeds enough of the time to keep me hooked!
