When it comes to sheet masks, there’s one brand I’ve heard a lot about since I first started blogging, and that’s MaskerAide. When I had the chance to pick three of their masks to test out, I finally decided on the MaskerAide Beauty Restore*, Detox Diva* and Pre Party Prep* masks, each of which is sold individually. It was definitely fun having some nice relaxing face masks to test out!
The MaskerAide masks are very wet, so there is plenty of serum for your face as well as to massage into your neck after you are done using the mask. I found that the masks fit my face fairly well, there was a bit of a nose/mouth issue but it wasn’t bad, and the eye openings worked well which is my biggest annoyance with some sheet masks.
While each of the MaskerAide masks works similar in terms of how you apply them, they each have a different targeted function and ingredients. The MaskerAide Beauty Restore is intended to “restore, regenerate and repair”. The serum inside is filled with Argan Oil, Super Fruit Extracts, Green Algae and Vitamin E. I found this a very cooling and relaxing mask, although in general I find that to be true whenever I apply a sheet mask–it forces me to slow down and “rest’ore” a little. Afterwards my skin felt soft and cooled.
The second mask I tried was the MaskerAide Detox Diva. I think the packaging on these masks is just so cute, and given how rough shape my skin has been in lately, I was most excited to test this mask out. The serum contains a bunch of different fruit extracts to help gently exfoliate, as well as Geranium Oil, Seaweed and Green Tea Leaf Extracts to aide with minimizing pores and absorbing impurities. Plus, there’s honey and argan oil to help moisturize. I definitely felt like my skin looked fresher and pores purified after use.
The final mask was the MaskerAide Pre Party Prep, which managed to leave me with my skin feeling both fresh and energized. Although a sheet mask isn’t going to leave any permanent changes to your skin, this one does contain Argan Oil, Orange Peel Oil, Super Fruit Extracts, Rice Extract and Honey to help brighten, hydrate and soften.
Overall, I definitely enjoyed using the MaskerAide masks, but I can’t say I saw a substantial difference between them. All three left my skin feeling cooled, refreshed and softer, although there were differences in scent.
