You can probably expect a few more pink products on Writing Whimsy over the next two weeks, but the ones I am sharing today are definitely worth paying attention to. The Mary Kay Thinking of Love Body Lotion* and Eau de Parfum* (also sold together in a set) have a bright citrus and floral scent that combines mandarin, rose, freesia, honeysuckle and sandalwood.
Mary Kay Thinking of Love Body Lotion comes in a narrow pink tube and is lightly moisturizing. It absorbs well into the skin and is quite strongly scented. If you want to skip the perfume step, you could definitely just go with this, or wear them together to extend the lasting power.
The packaging of the Mary Kay Thinking of Love Eau de Parfum is fairly girlish, but there’s I just really love about it. I love the frosted glass and translucent pink cap, and there’s also a removable rose gold heart charm. I find that the citrus notes are stronger in the Mary Kay Thinking of Love Eau de Parfum than the Body Lotion, although the dry down does bring out those muskier notes. The lasting power on this scent is great, it fades but I can still smell it on myself at the end of the day.
Out of the two products, my personal favourite is definitely the perfume, which has great lasting power and a perfect spring scent that balances floral with a hint of citrus and musk. Together, the Mary Kay Thinking of Love Body Lotion and Eau de Parfum make a charming duo and a great gift.
