Back in May, I tried this set in the limited edition Honeydew scent (and that was also delicious), so I did have a pretty good idea of what my opinions would be on the products, and in terms of favourite product, I wasn’t surprised. The smoothie hand scrub is definitely my favourite step in the Mary Kay Satin Hands Pampering Set in Pomegranate. It smells amazing, and it does an amazing job exfoliating without being harsh or drying on the skin.
I actually didn’t like the hand softener set that much the first time I tried, but I actually used it differently when I tested it out with the Mary Kay Satin Hands Pampering Set in Pomegranate. Instead of using it before the hand scrub, I used it after, with a very small amount on dry skin. It is very heavy and can be greasy if you use too much, but I applied it to my knuckles (it would also be good for elbows) and it provides an intensive layer of protection that would be very helpful in dry winter months.
The final step in the Mary Kay Satin Hands Pampering Set in Pomegranate is the hand cream, which has a lighter, creamier scent than the scrub but absorbs well into the skin and is really nice. I don’t know if the hand cream itself is formulated differently, but I also enjoy it more than I did last time.
I do think the price tag on the Mary Kay Satin Hands Pampering Set in Pomegranate ($51 CAN) is a bit high–and because a Mary Kay sales director commented on my post last time trying to correct the price, that is Canadian, it is $35 US. But it is a really nice trio of hand products that would make a great gift for the holiday season. I didn’t think Mary Kay could make a scent I liked as much as Honeydew, but Pomegranate is definitely in contention!
Have you ever used a hand scrub before?
