For somebody that spends an awful lot of time taking photos of my fingers, I really should treat them a bit better than I do. Lately they’ve been looking a bit rough so I was interested in testing out the Mary Kay Satin Hands Pampering Set in Honeydew* and seeing what it could do.
The Mary Kay Satin Hands Pampering Set in Honeydew is a limited edition and delicious scent, and the set comes with three products and a reusable bag. It contains a hand softener, a smoothie hand scrub and a hand cream, intended for use in that order. I haven’t seen many honeydew melon-scented products and I was a bit intrigued by the fragrance, but as soon as I smelled it I fell in love. It is really delicious!
The first product I used in the Mary Kay Satin Hands Pampering Set in Honeydew is the hand softener. This is a really thick substance that basically melts into an oil with the heat from your hands (it reminds me a bit of coconut oil that way) coating them in a greasy layer that adds a lot of moisture but that needs to be rinsed away afterwards.
The smoothie hand scrub is the second step in the Mary Kay Satin Hands Pampering Set in Honeydew, and this is easily my favourite. I haven’t used a hand scrub before, but this is left my hands feeling so soft and looking really nice as well as leaving behind a bit of that delicious honeydew scent. It only requires a pump for both my hands, and it foams as I use it, so this container will last awhile.
Final step in the Mary Kay Satin Hands Pampering Set in Honeydew process is a lovely honeydew hand cream, that leaves a bit of a protective layer on my hands that isn’t my favourite, although it is hydrating. It’s probably the least impressive out of the set, but I love the scent enough so I am happy to use it, and the three step process does leave me with satin smooth hands!
The only complaint I have about the Mary Kay Satin Hands Pampering Set in Honeydew is that $50 CAN seems like a high price tag. That said, I am definitely hooked on the honeydew scent and especially in love with the hand scrub so if the price doesn’t deter you this is definitely a nice treat for your hands!
