I haven’t really tried Mary Kay products in the past, but I adore my fragrances so I was definitely interested in testing out the Limited Edition Mary Kay Journey of Dreams Eau de Toilette* which is a light, summery scent that comes in a gorgeous box.
Mary Kay Journey of Dreams Eau de Toilette bottle is pretty and simple with a curved shape and two green rings around the top, but with a box that is so gorgeous, I wish more of that was carried over to the container. I recycle boxes, but the fragrance itself could sit on my dresser for a year or two and those watercolour butterflies are just so pretty. The bottle is nice, but it’s not a standout for me.
However what really matters about Mary Kay Journey of Dreams Eau de Toilette is what is inside the bottle! This is a light, floral summery scent that blends together rose lychee water, peony, clementine, and of course my favourite, a bit of rose. I actually like this scent more the more I use it, as it dries down to a fresh floral combination that makes the peony and rose lychee water notes the most obvious to me. The lasting power is good for an EdT at about 5 hours, and the 29 mL bottle is nice and portable.
In addition to being a lovely summery scent, there’s a bonus to the Mary Kay Journey of Dreams Eau de Toilette. Until August 15th, $2.50 from each purchase will be donated to charity to support women living with cancer through The Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation as well as to help end violence against women through providing grants to women’s shelters and community outreach programs.
Have you tried any Mary Kay products before? I received quite a few to try out so definitely expect more reviews from the brand in the future!
