There are four great scents of body scrubs from Mark, and I’ve actually reviewed two of them (coconut and jasmine) on the blog before, but now they are all available in full bath and body collections! I have three new products from the Passionate for Plumberry line to share, Mark Passionate for Plumberry 3-in-1 Body Wash*, Body Butter* and Hand Cream*. In addition to the Body Scrub, there will also be a Body Mist available.
Mark Passionate for Plumberry is a scent that contains plum, blackberry blossom and passionflower. It definitely has fruity berry elements to it, but there’s something that I can’t quite describe either, sweet and creamy with the slight floral aspect to it without smelling anything like flowers.
To start your routine, there’s the Mark Passionate for Plumberry 3-in-1 Body Wash, which is a thick and creamy shampoo/body wash/bubble bath product, similar to the Philosophy shower gels. I only tested this as a body wash because I don’t have access to a bath tub at the moment but I thought it was really rich and moisturizing. I don’t generally like these 3-1 products as shampoos, but based on how well this lathered up in the shower I bet it would make a fantastic bubble bath and that’s probably how I’ll finish it up. It leaves a light scent on the body, but I don’t think it would conflict too much with whatever you apply next, although there is a matching body butter.
Mark Passionate for Plumberry Body Butter is easily one of the thickest body butters I’ve ever tried, and it really rich and luxurious to apply. You do have to massage it in, but once you do it’s non-greasy and just leaves your skin feeling so soft and moisturized. The scent is the strongest of the three products, but you still have to get fairly close to your skin to notice it. I really love this formula and it is probably my favourite of the three products and I would definitely grab it in other scents as well.
Finally, there’s a Mark Passionate for Plumberry Hand Cream, which has much more of a lotion consistency than the body butter, although it’s still rich enough that you don’t need much and a tube this size (for only $6) will last ages. The scent is lighter as well, but I do find it doesn’t leave my hands totally non-greasy and takes a little while to absorb so it’s not my favourite hand cream, although it could be nice during the winter when my hands a bit drier. Plus, there’s the purple packaging win.
Layering your scent is a great way to get it to last all day and Mark makes it easy with these expanded collections in four great scents. Using the Mark Passionate for Plumberry 3-in-1 Body Wash, Body Butter and Hand Cream together I can smell good for a couple hours, but I imagine if I used the Body Mist as well it would last even longer. Personally, I definitely have my eye on the scent Sweet on Lemon Sugar, which sounds amazing!
Mark Passionate for Plumberry 3-in-1 Body Wash, Body Butter and Hand Cream will be available as of September 2014 through an Avon Independent Sales Representative or online at www.avon.ca
