It seems impossible given the number of skincare and beauty products I own, but I am actually almost all out of body scrubs, so the new Mark Crushing on Coconut* and Dreaming of Jasmine Body Scrub* arrived just in time to soften up my skin for summer. Mark is an Avon brand, and as far as I can tell it seems to target a younger demographic than the traditional Avon crowd. The Mark Crushing on Coconut and Dreaming of Jasmine Body Scrub come in convenient squeeze tubes, which makes it instantly obvious this will be a finer scrub since those with large granules really need a tub format instead.
I got two scents of the body scrub to try out, and unfortunately the first one is totally wasted on me. Mark Crushing on Coconut Body Scrub smells like… coconuts. And sadly, I do not like coconuts at all. However, it is super summery and great for the 99% of the population that does love the scent of coconuts. Possibly because I don’t like the scent, I find it pretty strong in comparison to Dreaming of Jasmine, although when you use them there is only a light scent left behind on the skin.
I wasn’t really use if I liked the scent jasmine, but Mark Dreaming of Jasmine Body Scrub has decided it for me–I am definitely a fan! This smells so good, floral and sweet and fresh. I definitely feel like Mark should make more products in this scent!
In terms of the scrub itself, Mark Crushing on Coconut and Dreaming of Jasmine Body Scrub are exactly the same. It is filled with scrubby bits but they are fine enough that it isn’t harsh on the skin, and it cleanses as it exfoliates, leaving my skin feeling soft but not oily. The fragrance is left behind but not overpowering, although I’d occasionally reach for something harsher, I really like these for more frequent use. Overall, if you’re looking for a gentle body scrub, I recommend Mark Crushing on Coconut and Dreaming of Jasmine Body Scrub. The only decision you have to make is the scent! There’s also a Sweet on Lemon Sugar and Passionate for Plumberry version that both sound delicious (especially the lemon!).
