#MaritimeMonday Pearl & Daisy Natural Soap Company

#MaritimeMonday Pearl & Daisy Natural Soap Company

After two different exciting opportunities landed in my inbox courtesy of Nova Scotian brands, I knew it was time to start a #MaritimeMonday Feature. There are so many wonderful local companies,  and I hope to feature many more going forward but today I’m starting off with the Pearl & Daisy Natural Soap Company. Pearl & Daisy is a company that works to imitate natural with all-natural ingredients including essential oils. They now have 8 different scent collections inspired by the beautiful East Coast, and I was able to try out the Pearl & Daisy Natural Soap Company Gift from the Sea Bath Soak*, Mountain Mist Soap* and Bath Bomb in Orange and Vanilla*.

Pearl & Daisy is inspiring people to #Take12. That means take 12 minutes to enjoy the benefits of a soak in the tub. I know I always feel more mentally relaxed after a bath, but it also helps soothe my body. It only takes 10-15 minutes in warm water to reduce tension on overstretched muscles. The bath is even better if you use the Pearl & Daisy Natural Soap Company Gift from the Sea Bath Soak.

The Gift from the Sea Bath Soak is a mix of dead sea salt and essential oils from rosemary and peppermint. The fragrance is meant to boost clarity and I can definitely see why. I tried this out when I was sick and it did an amazing job clearing up my sinuses and my head. These salts provide a pretty strong scent to the bath and I really enjoyed using them.

The Pearl & Daisy Natural Soap Company Mountain Mist Soap also has a strong scent, but this one is inspired by the morning mist in the he valleys of Nova Scotia’s Cobequid Mountains. The fragrance blends especially oils of clary sage, bay, fir balsam and thyme to give a earthy but fresh scent. The soap itself has a very few gentle scrubby bits for exfoliation but it’s definitely fine for daily use and I would still compliment with an occasional body scrub. This soap lathers well and leaves behind a light scent, it would also make a lovely gift–as would any of these products.

I just adore my bath bombs so I saved my favourite for last–and it was a close call, the bath salts are super lovely. However, the Pearl & Daisy Natural Soap Company Bath Bomb in Orange and Vanilla smells like a creamsicle to me. It’s really so delicious. This bath bomb is made with coconut oil and weighs about 150 grams. It dissolves quickly into the water and leaves it with a lovely fragrance and a slight milky colour although not really bubbles, just a little ‘foam’. It is really nice for a bath and definitely leaves my skin softer.

With bath products this nice, it’s easy to #Take12 and enjoy a bath. I am really impressed with all three products I tried from Pearl & Daisy Natural Soap Company and I loved featuring them in my very first #MaritimeMonday. They also have a brand new subscription service that sounds really lovely.

Do you have a favourite Maritime brand? I’m definitely still looking for more brands to feature in the future.
