Marcelle Ultra Gentle Cleansing Gel

My skin is oily enough to break out but sometimes it seems like every skin product I try is too harsh and drying for it so I was interested to see how the new Marcelle Ultra Gentle Cleansing Gel*, especially because it claims to be “a gentle cleanser suitable for the whole family” as well as able to remove makeup!

Marcelle Ultra Gentle Cleansing Gel 3In terms of its claims of being gentle, the Marcelle Ultra Gentle Cleansing Gel definitely succeeds. It is scent-free and it doesn’t bother me at all when I get it in my eyes. It also doesn’t leave my skin dry or tight, and it definitely doesn’t cause irritation. I am pretty sure this is the most gentle cleanser I have tested, and although I don’t have especially sensitive skin, I feel like I could still recommend this if you do. The Marcelle Ultra Gentle Cleansing Gel has the consistency of a thin lotion and doesn’t foam.

Marcelle Ultra Gentle Cleansing GelIn terms of a one step-cleanser, I do think the Marcelle Ultra Gentle Cleansing Gel is effective at removing most of your makeup on its own. However for products that are particularly stubborn, they require either a bit of a precleanse using makeup remover, or a second cleanse using the Marcelle Ultra Gentle Cleansing Gel. The fact that it is so gentle means that double cleansing still works okay on my skin though, and if you have only minimal face makeup on it would probably work on its own.

Marcelle Ultra Gentle Cleansing Gel 2The Marcelle Ultra Gentle Cleansing Gel contains no parabens, sulfates, oil or soap. It comes in a 350 mL (very large) container with a pump that gives a good amount of cleanser and is really convenient to store beside my sink. It’s also only $12.95! It won’t be the only cleanser I use because I do like something that also targets acne occasionally, but I think it definitely does what it promises for an affordable price and has left me interested in trying more Marcelle skincare in the future.

Have you ever tried any skincare from Marcelle?
