Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme in Miss Scarlet

Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme in Miss Scarlet 2I recently shared the Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel in Moody Margot, but along with that shade I have one that’s pretty much as opposite as it can get, the Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme in Miss Scarlet*.

Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme in Miss Scarlet 5Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme in Miss Scarlet is also a part of a brand new formula from the brand, which is available in 20 different shades ranging from neutrals to, well, Miss Scarlet. The packaging is exactly the same as the New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel except black instead of nude, which I actually prefer–it looks extra sleek. It also has magnetic closure and rounded lipstick tip, which makes dark, pigmented shades like this a little more difficult to apply precisely.

Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme in Miss Scarlet 4Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme in Miss Scarlet is a brick red shade that is both incredibly creamy and opaque. It slides over my lips and I didn’t have any issues with dry patches like I did with the nude. There’s a touch of shine to the shade and it leaves behind a reddish stain.

Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme in Miss Scarlet 3I think there’s something pretty special about owning a fancy red lipstick and Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme in Miss Scarlet definitely meets that criteria. I was nervous about wearing it, but I thought it was quite flattering and would probably work on many skintones. I just love the even, opaque coverage it gives.

Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme in Miss ScarletI’m going to have to get outside of my comfort zone and wear Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme in Miss Scarlet because it is just such a pretty shade with a fantastic formula. I definitely have a few other shades from the new collection on my wishlist, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Infamous look stunning!
