Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet

Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet 2

I have a little obsession with the Marc Jacobs Daisy fragrances, and my fourth addition to that collection (see #1, #2, and #3) is Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet*, a limited edition for variation for Spring 2015. This is the twin fragrance to Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet, which I reviewed yesterday, and comes in a 50 mL bottle. The fragrance is a lovely lilac liquid, and of course, there’s the gorgeous packaging with the being a gold ball with three translucent rubberized flowers. I’m so excited to have it join the family.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet 4Although Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet opens with slightly fruity notes like pink grapefruit, pear and passionfruit, this is definitely a floral scent based on a heart of wisteria, jasmine and lily of the valley. The jasmine and wisteria notes are strongest to me, but there is a slightly woodsy base with violet wood, cedar and musk. It definitely makes me think of a spring evening as the flowers have begun to open.

Marc Jacobs Daisy SorbetMarc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet is the most floral Daisy I have, as last year’s  Marc Jacobs Daisy Delight was fruitier, while the original Marc Jacobs Daisy was also sweeter and a little more powdery. I do find florals last longer than more fresh scents like Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet, and despite also being an EdT I can get around 7 hours of wear out of Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet 3I think if you are looking for a bright, daytime spring scent, then I would go for Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet, while if you want something that’s longer lasting but would wear well into evening as well, pick up Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet. Or maybe, you need both…Either way you are getting a lovely scent in a gorgeous bottle!

Do you want a Daisy?
