Makeup I’m Throwing Out

January 2016 EmptiesI recently did a little makeup purge to toss a few things that were getting old and I was planning to include those in my January 2016 Empties. However, my empties posts are already really long so these (unfinished) makeup products get their own post. Lots of things I was decluttering could be passed on but these are just going to the garbage. Here are my thoughts on all of them!

Sephora Harmony Trio Bronzer: I bought this as eyeshadow before I knew anything about makeup and it was really pretty that way! I’m surprised I never hit pan because this was my only eyeshadow for years, but I didn’t use much makeup. Now it’s just super old and I have a lot of similar neutrals I love.

Nicole by OPI Strengthener Plus: Did not strengthen and in fact actually made polish peel off when used as a base so I liked using it with glitter but the tiny bit left is too gloopy now.

Lush Honey Trap Lip Balm*: this is pretty natural and pretty old and also a pot so even though it smells fine I’m tossing it to focus on other things, I did love it though!

Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Eyeshadow Rio de Rose Gold: LOVED so much but it’s really hard to mix the little bit that’s left since there’s basically no oil.

MAC Paint Pot in Rubenesque: This is a gorgeous golden cream shadow but it was just too dry at this point. I did make a decent dent in it but always sad not to finish a product I love.

Milani One Coat Glitter in Purple Gleam: This is a really pretty polish I definitely made a dent in but it was too thick even after I tried polish thinner and the brush was in rough shape too. It’s a really gorgeous shade though, reminds me of Zoya Carter.

L’Oreal Colour Riche Lip Gloss in Soft Wine: I loved this gloss so much I have a backup but this one is disgustingly old with only a little bit left.

Tony & Tina Cosmic Understanding (glitter) eyeshadow: This is a super old (like, elementary school old) eyeshadow I got in New York from my aunt and it’s the kind of purple sparkle shade I would have loved then but it’s really hard now so there’s no pigment. I’m definitely a bit nostalgic about tossing it though!

Have you thrown up any makeup lately? I’d love to know what! There are definitely a few products in here I’d be happy to repurchase but I’m holding out for now. Let me know if you’d like me to share posts like this again in the future and I’ll hold onto even more garbage before tossing it!
