I’m always really excited about new products from MAKE UP FOR EVER and they just launched their Pro Sculpting Collection which includes everything you need to sculpt and define your cheeks, brows and lips. Even if you don’t usually contour, you’ll want to check this collection out because one, if not all, of these three products is likely to be a new favourite.
The MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Collection includes the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Face Palette* in 4 different shades, the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Brow 3-in-1 Pen* in 5 shades, and the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Lip 2-in-1 Pen* available in 4 shades. I received one shade of each product to test out and I’ve put them together in what just might be my most sculpted look yet…
The MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Face Palette in 20 Light is a cream face palette that contains four different products to sculpt and highlight your whole face. The creams come in a plastic case and each shade contains 0.08 oz of product–for comparison, my much-loved MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Cream Blush contains 0.09 oz for $33 while this palette retails for $54 with almost four times as much product, so it’s definitely a great value, although not the same formula. In comparison to the HD Cream Blush, it’s a more slippery formula but it still applies gorgeously to the skin.
The MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Face Palette in 20 Light includes a non-shimmery cream highlight, a milk chocolate brown contour, a shimmery champagne gold highlight, and a peachy pink blush without shimmer. All the shades are highly pigmented but blend out gorgeously–I was a bit nervous using a contour that opaque but it was super easy to apply and blend out with my fingers. There’s a satin finish to the non-shimmery shades and I found they wore well (most of the day) although not as long as the HD Cream Blush.
Of course, if you’re anything like me you need some help knowing where to apply all these products, so luckily the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Face Palette comes with an instruction booklet for 6 different face types. I went with the oval (do I have an oval face?) and you can see the before (foundation only) and after (all four products applied) comparison. It’s very obvious that not only has it brightened my under eyes and given a glow to my cheekbones, but there’s also definition/structure that wasn’t there before. I am most surprised by the difference adding a contour to my forehead and chin made.
Next up is the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Brow 3-in-1 Pen in 50 Brown Black, I do love my brow products. This unique brow pencil also includes a powder highlight in a pale cream shade, perfect for under the brow bone, as well as a spoolie. I love that this pencil is 3-in-1, it’s really everything you need for perfect brows when traveling. The MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Brow 3-in-1 Pen has a flat, triangular pencil shape which isn’t as small as the micro/nano pencils. However, I still like the shape because it makes it a lot quicker to fill in my brows, while still offering the ability to do more precise work. There are 5 shades available and I have the darkest, which is definitely brown black as described, so I wish there was one shade darker but it still works fairly well on my brows.
In terms of application and performance, I have no complaints about the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Brow 3-in-1 Pen in 50 Brown Black. It is creamy enough to apply easily but firm enough that it’s still natural. It’s not so opaque it looks unnatural, but still easy to build up where needed. Of course, it also lasts all day.
The final product I tried from the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Collection is the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Lip 2-in-1 Pen in 11 Rust. Usually when I think 2-in-1 lip product it’s a stain and a gloss, or something of that nature, but this is totally different. One end is a creamy, semi-matte, rusty rose neutral, and the other is slightly pink-toned powder highlight.
The lipstick end of the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Lip 2-in-1 Pen in 11 Rust is a gorgeous shade I love that applies evenly, opaque, and feels comfortable on the lips. It lasts a few hours. The powder highlight is a really cool idea because it adds dimension to your lips, making them look fuller. I applied it to the centre of my lips, and i really did find it had that effect. I also used it on my cupid’s bow. The only issue is if you dab the sponge onto your lip, it will get the colour on it, so I decided to dab the highlight first onto my finger, the onto my lips. I love the result!
Of course I paired the all three products from the new MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting range together for a sculpted, defined, and I think very every-day glamorous look. I feel like the end result brings out natural beauty without feeling too over-the-top for my day-to-day life. Honestly, looking at these photos makes me want to recreate it tomorrow!
Whether you’re looking to add a little more definition to your face, brows, or lips, definitely check out the new MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Collection. As always, MAKE UP FOR EVER has really impressed me and I continue to really look forward to their new releases.
What do you think of these new products? Do you sculpt your face on a daily basis?
