Back in April I fell in love with the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Brow 3-in-1 Pen in 50 Brown Black, so I was really intrigued and excited when the brand expanded the range to include the Pro Sculpting Brow Palette. Personally, I love the convenience of a pencil when I do my brows, but palettes offer a lot of flexibility in shade as well as a huge cost savings. So far, there are two palette shades, and I have the darker option, which is the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Brow Palette in Harmony 2 Brown to Black. Harmony 1, blonde to dark brown, is also available.
The MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Brow Palette is packaged in slim and compact black plastic, so it’s definitely not too big to put into even a small purse if you wanted to carry it with you. Inside, there’s a mirror–perfect for touchups–as well as three powders, a cream, a wax, and a double-ended brush.
The brush has a spoolie on one end, which, I really don’t understand why a brow product would exist without a spoolie but sadly that is sometimes the case so I am happy to have it here. The other end of the brush is an angled brush for filling in your brows with the powder. The brush is okay but definitely not as nice as the MAKE UP FOR EVER 270 Angled Eyebrow Brush (reviewed here).
The MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Brow Palette in Harmony 2 Brown to Black includes three shades of brown that you can mix together or use individually. These shades would definitely suit a large range of Brown to Black brows as promised, but only the darkest shade–which is thankfully not too warm-toned–works for me. These are wet/dry powders so although I only use them dry, I assume you can achieve greater intensity when used wet, if that’s how you prefer your brows. I actually prefer that these aren’t super creamy and pigmented because it makes it a lot easier to get a natural brow result.
In addition to the brow powders, the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Brow Palette in Harmony 2 Brown to Black includes a wax and a highlighter. The highlighting shade is really pale and peachy so not sure if it would work for everyone, but it did work for me to help highlight the brow bone and I love the convenience of having it there. The wax was definitely effective as well. The brow powder and wax were long-lasting.
I’ll be honest that I’m probably too lazy to make the permanent switch over to the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Brow Palette in Harmony 2 Brown to Black, but the truth is, I did love the results! I know people–including my own twin sister–that prefer the flexibility and precision they get when using a brow powder. If you can’t find a single brow shade that works for you, or you dye your hair and want some brow shade flexibility, or you just like the precision of applying with a brush instead, definitely check out the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Brow Palette.
Do you use a powder or a pencil for your brows? Or nothing at all? (*gasp*)
